Sculptures
These Sculptures are all different in concept and were created using different materials.
"Wooden Toybox"
This box is created entirely out of wood and paint. The concept of this box is to create a wooden toy that would be safe for a child to actually play with. The small shapes on top of this box do fit into the holes that are carved in the box.
"Fertility Vessel"
This ceramic piece is a fertility vessel with images of sperm, eggs, and a fetus to demonstrate the process of how a child is born. I made it into a bowl for it to be used on a daily basis or even just for show. The concept of the bowl is for a woman to eat out of it or drink out of it in order to get pregnant guarenteed. This story is of course fiction.
"Thumbtack Tower"
"Thumbtack Tower" was made completely out of small scale thumbtacks and hot glue. The concept of this piece is multiples, meaning I took one object that had many verions of itself. There are over a total of 800 thumbtacks hot glued together. If you look closely in this image there is a tiny man inside to have the apearance of being dead, he is made out of modeling clay.
"Iron Casting History"
"Iron Casting History" is just a fun project that I created using a casting method and molds. I chose the coloumns molds becuase it reminded me a lot of the movie "Hercules" which at the time I was watching a lot of.
